Elizabeth Samuels Drama School – Terms of Service

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing the relationship between Elizabeth Samuels Ltd and you, the parent or guardian. By booking a place on any of our programmes, you are entering a legally binding agreement.

We run a range of activities including LAMDA exam tuition, performing arts classes and holiday programmes such as Show in a Week. Some terms apply to all classes, while others are specific to the type of class. Please read carefully to ensure you understand the terms relevant to your booking.

A. General Terms (Apply to All Classes)

  • A child’s place is only guaranteed once payment has been received and the subscription is active.

  • Bookings are on a first come, first served basis. We are unable to reserve places without payment.

  • Our programmes operate on a subscription model which secures your child’s place in a class and spreads the cost of the academic programme across equal monthly payments. Payments are not linked to the number of lessons in any particular month.

  • Missed lessons for any reason (including illness, holidays, school trips or other commitments) are not refundable and cannot be credited or carried forward.

  • Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable once a subscription is active.

  • Refunds are not available if a pupil chooses not to attend lessons while the subscription remains active.

  • In the event of disruption due to events outside of our control (e.g. pandemic, force majeure, strike action, severe weather), classes may be moved online or rescheduled within the academic year. No credit will be due if this is not possible.

  • If a school or venue stops hosting our classes, the remaining sessions will be delivered online.

  • Pupils must behave responsibly and respectfully. Behaviour issues or inappropriate conduct by a pupil or parent may result in removal from the programme, with no refund or credit given.

  • Elizabeth Samuels does not accept liability for loss or damage to personal property.

  • It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to keep emergency contact and medical information up to date.

  • All staff are DBS checked, trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid trained.

  • In the event that we are unable to find a suitable time or we are unable to meet our minimum number of students or the group is fully booked, we will place your child’s name on the waiting list.

B. LAMDA (Elementary, Middle and High School)

Lessons

  • LAMDA lessons are offered as small-group or paired tuition.

  • Lessons are delivered either during the school day (30 minutes) or after school (90 minutes).

Payment & Subscription

  • All lessons are billed via monthly subscription.

  • Payments are collected automatically each month on the same date the subscription was started.

  • The subscription secures your child’s place in the class and spreads the cost of the programme across 12 equal monthly payments.

  • Monthly payments are not linked to the number of lessons delivered in a specific month.

  • Lessons are delivered as part of a structured academic programme across the school year. The monthly subscription represents payment towards the programme as a whole rather than payment for individual lessons. For this reason, monthly payments remain the same regardless of how many lessons take place in a particular month and are not adjusted for variations in the school calendar.

  • Subscriptions start immediately upon registration and renew automatically each month until cancelled.

  • If a payment fails or falls into arrears, we reserve the right to withdraw your child’s place until the balance has been settled.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Subscriptions can only be cancelled with 4 weeks’ written notice. Notice must be sent to info@elizabethsamuelsdrama.it.

  • Subscriptions may be cancelled with four weeks’ written notice.

  • Notice must be sent to:

    info@elizabethsamuelsdrama.it

  • The notice period begins from the date the email is received, not the date it is sent.

  • Fees remain payable during the four-week notice period and your child may continue attending classes during this time.

  • The subscription will automatically end at the close of the billing cycle following the notice period.

  • Refunds or credits are not provided for part-used subscription periods or if a pupil chooses not to attend classes during the notice period.

  • Once a subscription has been cancelled, a new registration will be required if your child wishes to return to classes.

  • As the subscription spreads the cost across twelve equal monthly payments, no refunds or credits are issued for months where classes are not attended or during school holidays.

Exam Entries & Fees

  • Exam fees are not included in the subscription.

  • Fees will be invoiced separately and must be paid by the given deadline.

  • Missed deadlines will result in your child not being entered for the exam.

Responsibilities & Communication

  • Parents must notify Elizabeth Samuels Drama School if their child will be absent.

  • Please do not contact school administration teams directly — all LAMDA communication should go through Elizabeth Samuels Drama School at info@elizabethsamuelsdrama.it

Teacher Selection of Pieces

  • Students are expected to learn lines and rehearse outside of class.
